Miss Moonshine's channel started as an Oldtime Music Field Recording Collection in 2009. I offer jam & performance videos of traditional music from festivals, camps, formal & street shows. This was Internet's 1st source of free flatfooting oldtime - bluegrass clogging buck dance バックダンス lessons & users around the world learn from it. My channel offers content re: Learning Folk Instruments & Foreign Languages, Healthy Diet & Lifestyle, Posture & Sauna. I feature informal performances with my band, the German Moonshiners or other musicians while language learning in Germany or Finland or (soon) Japan. I share as much as possible of what excites me, with the hope of inspiring others. Your views allow me to give back more to my community.
Since monetizing the channel in 2018, all proceeds are donated to dance,music, food, immigrant, or education nonprofits, eg: Jon Bekoff Project, Pick n Bow, Triple Step Studios, John C Campbell Folk School, Global Growers, Global Village Project, etc.

I was considering it but opted for Finland next week. Will you be there? Do you play music?
@@MissMoonshineDance Finland sounds like a good adventure! Yes, I will most likely be around during the festival, as i live kind of close to it. I do play music, mainly tenor banjo. Hopefully you decide to go to Tønder some other year then. I would realy like to try playing along to your awesome clogging :)

Great idea and great approach. Do you have any other sources for Bekoff bowing patterns. I’m a fan yet have not been able to imitate his style and could use some help and guidance.

@@MissMoonshineDanceI’ve spent hours listening to him on Slippery Hill and UA-cam. I guess what I’m suggesting is a video on his various bowing techniques and patterns. And also, his approach to voicing a tune. UA-cam contributors are always looking for suggestions from viewers as to what they would like to see - and that is what I would respectfully request. I’ve watched him get in a groove and stay there with his bowing hand on automatic. That’s what I would like to learn how to do.

Just a quick note there is this group called the Dead South they are out of Canada. The have a song that was extremely popular call In Hell I'll be in good company. But it's the video that is so wild they do a dance shuffle that is just so catchy see if you like it. Thanks
